Moving Image Preservation of Puget Sound

California Audiovisual Preservation

In partnership with eighty five libraries, archives and museums, the California Preservation Program is undertaking an urgently needed project to digitize, provide online access, and preserve historic California audiovisual recordings, creating a comprehensive online collection of film, video and audio recordings documenting California history.

'Ulu'ulu: The Henry Ku'ualoha Giugni Moving Image Archive of Hawai'i aims to perpetuate and share the rich moving image heritage of Hawai'i through the preservation of film and videotape related to the history and culture of Native Hawaiians and the people of Hawai'i.

Dance Heritage

DHC is a national alliance of institutions holding significant collections of materials documenting the history of dance. Its mission is to preserve, make accessible, enhance and augment the materials that document the artistic accomplishments in dance of the past, present, and future.

New Museum XFR STN

The New Museum dedicated its Fifth Floor gallery space to "XFR STN" (Transfer Station), an open-door artist-centered media archiving project. "XFR STN" initially arose from the need to preserve the Monday/Wednesday/Friday Video Club distribution project. The "XFR STN" at the New Museum will also address the wider need in the community of artists for access to media capture and migration services as a means to preserve creative productions stored in aging and obsolete audiovisual and digital formats.
